What Will Happen During My Regular Dental Examination?

During your dental check-up at iSmile Dental Clinic, we will gently examine your teeth and gums to look for any small cavities or lesions or signs of gum disease. We take detailed notes at each visit so we can compare our findings with your previous visits and can easily detect any changes to your dental health.

Your dental exam will include regular screenings for oral cancer. This is quick, painless and non-invasive as we will closely examine your oral tissues to check for any changes in colour or texture and for any unexplained lumps, bumps and sore patches.

What Will Happen If You Find Something That Needs Treatment?

If we find any problems, we will explain them to you once your examination is complete and can provide you with all possible treatment options. We know it can sometimes be tricky to understand exactly what is going on with your dental health which is why we allow lots of time to talk to you.

Our iSmile dentists are excellent at avoiding impenetrable dental terminology, instead of using language that is easy to understand. It is very important to us that you leave our practice with a good grasp of what is going on, so please just ask if something does not make sense.
