Spiced Ghost Pancakes

These spicy Halloween pancakes have a fun twist as they are topped with whipped cream ghosts and are the ideal breakfast treat for celebrating a spooky day.

2tbsp sugar

1/4tsp cloves

1tsp cinnamon

1/8tsp nutmeg

¾ cup heavy cream

2 cups Bisquick mix

2 lightly beaten eggs

Pinch of ginger

1 cup milk

Mini chocolate chips

2tbsp powdered sugar

Maple syrup

  1. Heat a large griddle or skillet over medium-high heat. Mix the Bisquick, ginger, sugar, cloves, cinnamon and nutmeg together in a large bowl. Add the eggs and milk and stir gently to combine.
  2. Pour a quarter cup of the batter onto the hot griddle and cook the pancake until set around the edges and bubbling on top. Flip over and cook on the other side.
  3. Whip the cream until thick, adding the powdered sugar slowly until you have stiff peaks. Place the cream in a pastry bag and pipe ghost shapes onto the top of each stack of pancakes. Use mini chocolate chips for the eyes. Serve with plenty of maple syrup.
