11 December 2024These spicy Halloween pancakes have a fun twist as they are topped with whipped cream ghosts and are the ideal breakfast treat for celebrating a spooky day.
Ingredients
2tbsp sugar
1/4tsp cloves
1tsp cinnamon
1/8tsp nutmeg
¾ cup heavy cream
2 cups Bisquick mix
2 lightly beaten eggs
Pinch of ginger
1 cup milk
Mini chocolate chips
2tbsp powdered sugar
Maple syrup
Instructions
- Heat a large griddle or skillet over medium-high heat. Mix the Bisquick, ginger, sugar, cloves, cinnamon and nutmeg together in a large bowl. Add the eggs and milk and stir gently to combine.
- Pour a quarter cup of the batter onto the hot griddle and cook the pancake until set around the edges and bubbling on top. Flip over and cook on the other side.
- Whip the cream until thick, adding the powdered sugar slowly until you have stiff peaks. Place the cream in a pastry bag and pipe ghost shapes onto the top of each stack of pancakes. Use mini chocolate chips for the eyes. Serve with plenty of maple syrup.
